ABOUT KEPPEL DENTAL
We’ve been around for a while
Ah, 1970s Australia. A bygone era of leisure suits, optional sunscreen slathering and political upheaval. It was also when ambitious young dentist John Christensen and his wife Denise, opened Yeppoon’s first private dental practice, at 1 Adelaide Park Road
In the 40-plus years they ran the business, Keppel Dental, developed a solid reputation as a respected, progressive practice that defied traditional patient perceptions by never feeling like yet another scary medical place. Specialists and professionals from every area of dentistry came from across Australia to join their team, delivering a full range of oral health care services to the expanding Livingstone Shire community.
We know how to roll with the times
When John and Denise stepped down as practice owners in 2018, their son Luke and daughter in-law Lyndsey knew they needed to step up. Giving the local community the high standard of oral health treatment they’ve come to expect remains central to everything we do.
Luke and Lyndsey’s energy and enthusiasm (qualities their colleagues share) have created a practice that embodies a gentle, calm, and efficient approach to modern dentistry.
Our practice today
We continue to build the practice’s sterling reputation.

We embrace and invest in progressive modern dentistry techniques.
A full on-site lab, digital dental equipment and AI-assisted technology means greater in-chair comfort and shorter treatment times.
We’ve moved to a larger site, cutting appointment wait times.
Our original 5-chair practice is now a 10-chair hospital, so we can see more people each day and offer procedures under general anaesthetic.
Whether you’re travelling from rural areas or live nearby, you only need to drop into Keppel Dental to find the
treatment you need
As a local, family run practice, we don’t just work in Yeppoon. We live here too. So to provide the best treatment for your needs, we get to know you, not just your teeth.
Your ongoing oral health is our priority. This is why we look to fix any dental problems for good. Not just for now.
Becoming a Keppel Dental patient is simple. And it’s the first step to better oral health and a comfortable dental experience.
